Get help with Sensecast

Sensecast is built by one person at Greigh Studios LLC. Write to [email protected] and it reaches a real inbox — no ticket bot, no queue number. Most messages get a reply within two to three days.

There is no account and no phone line — email is the whole support system, on purpose.

Send a message

This goes straight to [email protected]. Nothing is stored on this site — the form either hands the message to your own mail app, or, once the contact endpoint is switched on, relays it and forgets everything but the send.

Prefer your own mail client? Write directly to [email protected]. For privacy and legal notices the same address is fine — see the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Before you write

A few things are faster to fix from inside the app than over email. If one of these matches, try it first — and if it does not help, say so in your message so we can skip past it.

Weather won't load

Open Settings › Meteorology & Data › Connection Diagnostics. It tests DNS, TLS and each provider endpoint separately, checks your device clock — a date or time that is wrong by more than a few minutes breaks the secure connection to every weather service at once — and runs the real fetch so you see the exact error. Use Copy / Share at the bottom to attach that report to your email; it is the single most useful thing you can send.

Pro isn't active, or you have a new phone

Purchases are tied to your App Store or Google Play account, not to the device. Open the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases — that re-checks with the store and re-activates a subscription or the Lifetime Pass on the current phone. If it still will not restore, email us with the store account's region and the approximate purchase date.

Refunds and billing

Refunds are handled entirely by the store, since that is who took the payment — reportaproblem.apple.com for iOS, or Google Play for Android. We never see card details and cannot issue a refund ourselves, but we can help sort out access if a refund leaves it in a strange state.

Delete my data

There is almost nothing to delete: no account, no analytics, and your saved places and settings live only on your device — removing the app removes them. The two exceptions are the purchase-verification record and, if you used it, the launch-notification waitlist. Sections 8 and 10 of the Privacy Policy cover both; email us with your store transaction ID or the address you signed up with and we will erase them.

Feature requests and bug reports

Both are welcome and both get read. For a bug, the fix usually depends on the details below. For a request, a sentence on what you are trying to do is more useful than a proposed solution — it leaves room for a better one.

What to include in a bug report

  • App version and build — Settings › About & Legal, then triple-tap the version line to copy it to the clipboard along with your Install ID.
  • Platform and OS version — for example "iPhone 15, iOS 18.5" or "Pixel 7, Android 15".
  • The Connection Diagnostics report, if the problem is anything to do with data not loading.
  • What you did, what happened, and what you expected instead — in that order, even if it feels obvious.
  • A screenshot of the error or the wrong-looking screen, when there is one.

None of this identifies you — the Install ID is a random string that resets when the app is removed, and it only lets us line your report up with a purchase-verification record if the issue is about Pro access.

Meteorological data is retrieved from official public open-data services operated by NOAA, ECMWF, DWD, Environment and Climate Change Canada, JMA, the UK Met Office, Météo-France and cooperating national agencies, under their respective open government data licences. Earthquake data comes from the U.S. Geological Survey, active-fire detections from NASA FIRMS (VIIRS), and tropical cyclone tracks from GDACS. Power outage intelligence comes from the Outage Data Initiative Nationwide (ODIN) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the U.S. Department of Energy. Air quality observations come from EPA AirNow. Radar frames are provided by LibreWXR, drawn over basemaps from CARTO and Esri. Sensecast is an independent application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these agencies. Storm verification reports are generated from public meteorological observations and are not a substitute for a professional loss adjustment.
