Verification
Verify a Storm Report
Every Sensecast Storm Verification Report carries a Ref ID — a random identifier, not one computed from its date or location — that gets registered the moment the report is generated. Enter it below to confirm the report is genuine and see exactly what Sensecast recorded.
This checks the report's own record, not the weather itself — it confirms the document wasn't altered after Sensecast generated it, using the same numbers the report shows.

How this works
Older Sensecast builds computed a report's Ref ID from its date and coordinates alone — both public, so anyone could compute a valid-looking id for any address without ever having generated a report. That's fixed: the app now draws a random 64-bit id and registers the report's on-screen numbers with this service the moment it's created. A match here means the numbers you're looking at are exactly what Sensecast produced; no match means either the Ref ID is wrong, or it was never registered — including because the device that made it was offline and hasn't reconnected yet.
This service does not verify that the underlying weather data itself is accurate — only that the report matches what Sensecast generated. See Storm Verification Reports for what a report contains, or write to [email protected] if a report doesn't check out and you believe it should.
